AA, Ethnic, Hispanic, Biracial Karlotta by Karola Wegerich WIP & upcoming Giveaway!

Happy Monday everyone.  The weekends seem to just BLOW by & aren't nearly as long as I would like them to be.  I'm just dropping in to give an update on my take on an Ethnic Karlotta by Karola Wegerich.  This baby has been pulling at my heart strings since the day I saw her go on pre-sale.  She is a stunner!  Perfect in every single way.  I've been debating on which direction to take her & looked thru hundreds of baby reference pictures.  My intentions were to take her darker but I fell completely in love with her at this stage.  I just HAD to stop her skin tone here.  She is painted with my signature skin tone "Blushing Olive".   She still has quite a ways to go.  I'm currently working on her detailing & then I'll work on blending her really well.   She will have sculpted tear ducts and combo painted/rooted hair.  She's pictured with temporary eyes until her glass eyes come in.  I hope you like her.

I know a lot of people missed out on this little girl so I've decided to do a giveaway.  I managed to purchase 4 of them & when I reach 250 followers on my blog, I'll be giving away a blank Karlotta kit.  All you have to do is be a follower.  I'm also doing a giveaway on my Facebook page where I'll be giving away a Quinlynn by Laura Lee Eagles.  Stay tuned for that.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

WIP Eboni & Ivori - AA & Caucasian Karlotta by Karola Wegerich

Happy Friday everyone.  I'm just swinging thru to share what I've been up to.  I'm currently working on Karlotta by Karola Wegerich black & white editions.  My caucasian Karlotta sold unfinished so I won't be able to see what she looks like finished unfortunately.  But I couldn't resist the offer that was made on her.  My AA Karlotta is turning out pretty cute. She's just in the beginning detailing stage.  I have a very long way to go but she's turning out to be a cute.  I hope everyone has a safe & wonderful weekend.

Wow! Yesterday was scary & exciting at the same time!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  I must say that yesterday was the most exciting, scary, invigorating, exhilarating, dramatic days I have had in a LONG time!  Here's what happened....

My sweet little Ashleigh Simone's (Florian by Petra Lechner) auction was listed with a starting bid of $199 last Sunday.  She was ending yesterday & her bid was already up to $2100 a day before she ended & 2 of the highest bidders had 0 feedback.  This scared the crap out of me because I'd heard so much about non paying bidders & thought maybe some kid was playing a sick joke on my auction & I hadn't put anything about 0 feedback bidders in my auction terms.

Well, thanks to the ladies over at ARC, they calmed me down & told me to contact the buyers to make sure they were serious.  Both bidders immediately contacted me back & assured me that they were serious but needed a layaway plan. This made me feel a little better (but not much).  Secretly, I was crossing my fingers & hoping the bidders with feedback would win the auction.  I literally felt sick to my stomach.  I didn't know what to do.

The ladies over at ARC were encouraging me.  So... getting to the good part... as the clock ticked down, within the last couple minutes of the auction, there was a battle between the bidder with feedback & the bidder with 0 feedback.  Everyone in my family from my children, my friends, my forum sisters, my Facebook fam all cheered me.  We were yelling & screaming & crying & having pretend heart attacks, falling on the floor & staring in misbelief & watched my baby SOAR from $2100 & end with a total bid of BRACE YOURSELF....

$3700!!!!!!!!!  I couldn't believe it.... Then I checked to see WHO had won & the bidder with 0 feedback won the baby!  I was so freaking scared!  I completely panicked & wanted to throw up!

But then, I get an eBay notice of the buying requesting me to invoice her for the 30% (non refundable) layaway deposit & she paid IMMEDIATELY!  What a relief!!!  I began to feel bad for not wanting her to win.  As I reflect today I realized that all of us have to start with 0 feedback on eBay.  Thank goodness my 1st experience was a good one.  I'm still on cloud 50 from yesterday but today, I can relax & root hair.

Thank u to everyone who helped me thru yesterday.  I really appreciate you.

Ashleigh Simone is now on eBay. Please root her on

Happy Sunday everyone.  Ashleigh Simone from the Florian kit by Petra Lechner is now on eBay.  Please cheer her on.

Updates! I've been a very busy lady

Hi everyone.  I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately.  I've been super busy.   Here are some of the babies I've been working on.

Up first is Angelina by Romie Strydom.  She has quite a ways to go but is coming along nicely. She is being created using my signature Caramel Machiatto skin tone palette.  I will be rooting over her painted hair & I can't wait until she's done.  She's so adorable.

Next up is Janine by Romie Strydom.  She is getting hair at the moment.  I hope to be finished with her rooting within the next couple of days.  She is created using my signature Chestnut Almond Berry skin tone palette.  I'm in love.

They will all be up for sale when they are completed.  Contact me if you're interested.
